John Lewis, Debenhams, Primark, Subway, Sports Direct, Argos and Tesco are amongst 350 organisations who were on the 2017 "Name and Shame" lists in paying back over £3m to 17,500 workers.

If you are currently or have in the past topped-up pay with tips, deducted worker's uniforms from their salaries, docked wages to pay for Christmas parties or even held back pay for essential training - then you need to take heed. Rectify the anomaly, to avoid hefty HMRC penalties.

Employers should check now, whether their worker's pay dips below the National Minimum Wage for the hours worked.
